Ramazanov Shamil Aghasaf

He was born in Rahimli village of Aghsu region on the 19^th of January, 1976. He finished Rahimli village secondary school in 1993. After Shamil worked in Agricultural industry for a year, he was called for military service by Aghsu region Military Commissariat on the 19^th of March, 1994. He was sent to the Military Unit # 777 after several months of training. In spite of being in the Army for a year, Shamil had already become and experienced soldier.  Though Cease – fire already declared, the soldiers would always have military trainings and would continuously enhance their trainings. They had no idea that, another was about to emerge. It happened during 13^th – 17^th March events in 1995. A group of traitors were trying to over through the Government. And the soldiers of the National Army started counter attack immediately. So, the civil war began and the soldiers began the military operation. Shamil was among those soldiers and he was bravely fulfilling his duty as a soldier. But unfortunately during intensive shooting the young soldier got severely wounded and soon after, closed his eyes forever from the wound he received.

He was single.

Ramazanov Shamil Aghasaf was posthumously awarded the title of the “National Hero of Azerbaijan” by the decree #307 of the president of Azerbaijani republic on the 4^th of April, 1995.

He was buried in Rahimli village. And The Cinema in the center of Aghsu region is named after the hero.
