He was born in Ahmadli village of Samukh region on the 21st of October, 1990. He was called for Military Service in 2008 and was an exemplary soldier. Elton was on duty on the 18th of June, 2009 when several trespassers broke the law by trying to trespass through the borders illegally. And so, the soldiers had to fight with the trespassers. But one of them had a grenade and through it at the soldiers. In order to save the lives of the soldiers, Elton sacrificed his own by throwing himself at the grenade and shielding others from being harmed with his own body.
Isgandarov Elton Khaleddin was posthumously awarded the title of the “National Hero of Azerbaijan” on the 29th of June, 2009.
He was buried in Ahmadli village of Samukh region.
