He was born in Sahil Street of Garadagh district of Baku city on the 12th of August, 1976. He attend first grade of school # 228 in 1983 and finished from school # 273 1993. He was called for military service by Garadagh district Military Commissariat on the 25 of August, 1994. Emin was sent to Military unit # 776 after having military training in Yalama. The fact that he was practicing different types of Martial arts was giving him advantage in fulfilling the assignments proficiently.
The soldiers of the battalion where E. Guliyev was serving were sent to Shubani. He was distinguished by his supreme military knowledge in the new place as well. Moreover, his supreme skills and knowledge were not unnoticed.
Meanwhile the political stability of the country was destroyed. A group of traitors that were thirsty for power were trying to overthrow the government. The cop d’état was to be prevented in time or else the country would have faced serious problems. The group completely ignored the warning of the government and started military operation against our statehood on the 15th of March, 1995. The battalion where Emin was serving was also sent to the zone where the operation against cop d’état was taking place. The armed conflict had already begun when the soldiers of the National Army arrived. Emin was trying his best in order not only to take the wounded soldiers to a safer place but he was also taking active part in the operations against the criminals. Unfortunately the bullets did not pass him by either and the barve soldier closed his eyes forever.
He was single.
Guliyev Emin Alekber was posthumously awarded the title of the “National Hero of Azerbaijan” by the decree # 307 of the president of Azerbaijani Republic on the 4th of April, 1995.
He was buried in the Martyrs Alley of Sahil district where he was born. The boarding school # 14 in Sahil, one of the streets in Garadagh district and a park is named after the hero.
